Saturday's Shower

Saturday's shower was a great success. The food was wonderful, the setting was ideal, the family was fun and generous, the presents were overwhelming, and I truly enjoyed myself. I'm so lucky to have such a great family - both my family and the family I've gotten through Jonathan. Some of my highlights were Laureeta's cookies, having people write notes on diapers, and receiving a silver musical carousel from Grandma-to-be Cathy. After the shower I put together our vibrating bouncer chair and I really wish I had one my size. Today I'm getting the baby monitor set up and organizing presents along with writing thank you notes.

I'm feeling a little paranoid about Thunder being a baby girl since we've received so many wonderful baby girl gifts. Maybe I should go to Waves in Hiawatha. I might be able to talk Jon into it since we could have some family come to enjoy it with us and we could confirm boy or girl. They have a session that is about $140 and we have received some money so.... I'll ask my doctor what she thinks on Thursday. If only I could talk the hospital into doing another one since it would be free. I'm not going to lie and say something bad is happening just to get another peek though.

Here are a couple of pictures from the shower:
The beautiful woman on the left is my mom. She's sitting next to Janice and Mary. I thought the table decorations were cute. Notice the cookies!

Here I am holding the prettiest little dress I've ever seen. See why I want to know if she's a she? It has satiny bloomers that came with it.
Here I am with the carousel. I'm wearing a dress from my sister Emily. You can see Grandma R. in the background.
