Last night Jon and I got a date night. He was able to leave the hospital at about 6 and he didn't have to bring any work home. It was a wonderful surprise. There weren't any traumas yesterday so that's why he was free and clear. On Thursday they had two bicycles vs. parked car incidents that really made him get home late along with an ATV accident or two. He's on call for 24 hours starting at 5:30 this morning so it was good he got plenty of sleep last night. Anyway, we went to Sam's Pizza in Iowa City and I got a calzone. Yum! If anyone is ever in the area and haven't tried Sam's, then you're missing out. I think the only family member we've brought there is Emily and that was a few years ago. They have a new location and it's beautiful. It kind of reminds me of the pubs in London - not that I went to any.... We also got a chance to watch "Life" which we had on the DVR. I think I'll like that show.
I have a few things to get done around the house before I head to the shower at Shirley's. I'm looking forward to the baby celebration. So is baby girl. She's been dancing around this morning and last night. I felt a kick awfully close to my ribs so I might be in trouble in the next few weeks.

The Vosses also remember Sam's -- we have been there several times since and love the new place. We take friends and family there! Thanks DeJongs for the great recommendation so many years ago!

Limpy? Hahaha. Give her a kiss for me. I haven't taken you guys because the old place was kind of a crusty bar. The new place is much more family friendly.
