Snow Day

I canceled this morning's appointment due to the weather. I was happy to have a good excuse since Mina has had to be at so many boring appointments with me lately. She fights me when I want to leave the house these days and I think it's because she's afraid we're going somewhere not fun. She has her own appointment next week and I have one on Thursday so we have plenty of time at the hospital ahead of us.

There's nothing new to report as far as the pregnancy goes. I don't feel like labor is coming anytime soon since I'm feeling pretty good (other than my nose still being stuffy). I finally got up the nerve to weigh myself yesterday morning. I surprisingly only gained one pound in the last few weeks, Christmas food and all.

The house continues to get cleaner and the freezer stash of food continues to grow. Somehow my lists keep growing too, but they now seem possible. I finally managed to get all my sewing/mending projects done. They took under 10 minutes. It's silly how I was dreading working on those things when they were easy to do. Everyone is due for some procrastination now and then.

I'm looking forward to getting a bit of pampering on Saturday at the salon. I dyed my hair yesterday so with a hair cut, I should be looking pretty good. Too bad I managed to get hair dye all over the place (including the wall, toilet seat, and carpet) since my fine motor skills have left me. Oh well. Purple splotches just give a house more character, right? No, my hair isn't purple, but that's the color it dried on the floor.

I was looking at an old message board that I used to frequent when I was going through IVF and I realized that I'd probably be in the middle of a FET cycle right now if we hadn't lucked out. I may be stressed out now, but at least I'm not getting daily shots and worrying about going in for numerous blood draws. We're very blessed with this pregnancy.
